The name itself, in both French and Japanese, can mean «beloved», «desired child», or even «river» (the latter similar to her Korean name). Her French name coupled with Digby’s English name could form a pun referencing singer Marié Digby, potentially referencing Isabelle’s involvement with the town theme. Her name is alliterative with with Digby’s Italian name, Fofò. We discussed a ton of really great concepts, and the inevitable topic of “inappropriate” cosplay was brought up and discussed by the panelists.
